Cancellations & Refunds
* There are no cash refunds once a class or event is booked
* Full credit for a future class will be given for cancellation with between 72 hours and one week's notice
* Cancellation within 72 hours of an event, cooking class or trip departure results in forfeiture of your monies and credit (in the event we -or you!- can replace you, we'll extend you a credit for a future trip)
* Cancellation due to inclement weather will result in a Full credit for a future event
*Sobel Wellness/Meredith Sobel can be reached during an event at 646-209-4519. All events will have clear directions and signs will be provided to the room where the event will take place. Refunds will not be given if participant cannot find the event and where the participant does not call the above number.
Our cancellation policy is subject to change.
Weather Conditions
Light rain or merely a forecast of adverse weather will not affect the schedule. If an event is rescheduled due to snow, etc., we will notify you a minimum of 12 hours before the event.
If your trip is canceled due to weather conditions, you will receive a full credit for a future trip. Your trip credit will be good for the remainder of the calendar year.
Minimum class numbers
A minimum of five people is required to run a cooking class or speaking event. If a minimum cannot be met, the class will be canceled at Sobel Wellness discretion and your money credited toward the next scheduled class. If there is no class scheduled within the next thirty days, your money will be refunded.
Liability
Sobel Wellness/Meredith Sobel will not be liable for lost or stolen articles during this event or articles left after this event. Please notify Meredith of any food allergies, prior to attending a cooking class or event that has food. Any damage to the interior or exterior of equipment or venue which is caused by the individual signing up for this event, is liable for the cost to repair any such damage as well as any cost for loss of the carriers service due to such damage. The driver and/or course director has the right to eject any disruptive person who is abusive, poses a safety threat to other passengers, or any person who engages in the use of illegal substance. The act of signing up for this event makes the individual solely responsible for his/her safety while in the class, at the completion of the class and at all venues throughout this class. In consideration of the right to participate in this event, the individual hereby assumes all risks, and will hold the owners operators, employees and agents of Sobel Wellness/Meredith Sobel harmless from any and all liability, actions, debts, claims and demands of every kind and nature whatsoever. The terms hereof shall serve as a release and assumption of risk for my heirs, executors, and administrators for all members of my family including any friends accompanying me. The act of signing up for this event agrees that the individual, if intoxicated, will not operate a motorized vehicle after leaving the event. The act of signing up for this event relieves Sobel Wellness/Meredith Sobel, their employees, directors, vendors and contractors from any liability and responsibility for any claims for injuries, loss, damage, liability criminal or civil litigation for the individual arising out or relating to an event.
Photography
Photos will be taken at all Sobel Wellness/Meredith Sobel events. Some of these photos will be displayed on the Sobel Wellness website. By attending a Sobel Wellness event you agree that your photo may be published on our website. You also agree your photo or a likeness of you may be used for promotional purposes via video, print, or web, without compensation to you.
